Case study / Goals and design rationale
The goal was to give an imagined homeware collection an editorial identity while keeping practical questions close to the product. This self-directed study uses one featured object to explore that balance; it has no client brief or measured baseline.
Olive, clay, and cream tie the illustrated forms together. Serif headings set the tone, while plain labels carry facts and instructions. Finish, draft price, and unanswered product questions sit beside the action; native disclosures hold longer care and delivery notes.
The illustrative deliverables are a featured product view, a four-object collection with category filters, an in-memory concept tray, and coordinated CSS artwork. They make the proposed hierarchy and selection flow available for local review.
The result is a working front-end concept, with original artwork and a small selection flow. It demonstrates design decisions rather than measured commercial outcomes or a completed Shopify installation.
This is a self-directed portfolio study. The collection is illustrative, and no client engagement or sales results are claimed.
Plan a project with the studioOriginal CSS forms give the page a consistent visual language without external photography. Visible illustration labels keep scale, material, and finish accuracy open for verification.
Sample finish, draft price, and missing specifications remain visible beside the object. Longer notes use native disclosures. The intended clarity still needs review with readers.
Filters, quantity feedback, and Clear tray demonstrate a small browsing loop. The tray stays in memory and clears on refresh. No checkout, compatibility, or commercial outcome is demonstrated.
